Solutions to Fix Dell Laptop Blue Screen Death Issue

Published on by Timili

Most of laptop owners using Windows has likely experienced the unjoyful ‘Blue Screen of Death’, a.k.a. ‘Windows Stop Error’etc, including Dell laptop users. When I turn on my Dell Inspiron E1505 and wait for windows to load, then I immediately get the blue screen of death.

What is a blue screen or blue screen death error? That's a common error that happens whenever Windows detects a software, hardware, or driver error preventing it from operating properly. Then laptop could display in white text on a blue screen, which is called "Blue Screen" or "Blue Screen of Death".

Sometimes this problem will disappear with a simple reboot. But more typically, the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) is an indication of something serious and it needs troubleshooting. How to solve the Blue Screen of Death? Fixing it means first diagnosing the problem to find out what is wrong with your PC.

If you received the the blue screen of death on your pc, and the message error code came like this: STOP 0x00000024 (NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM). This stop code sounds like data corruption on the disk, data corruption in memory or your computer system comletely running out of memory for heavily-loaded server. If yours has this, then what you need to do:
reseat the memory and all drive data cables to eliminate data corruption issues stemming from poorly or improperly seated hardware. Try to run a complete memory and hard drive diagnostic. If those diagnostics pass, run a full file system check from the Recovery Console (chkdsk /f /r) to detect and (potentially) fix any corrupted data. If none of the above solves the issue, reinstall Windows or consider to replace the hard drive.

If you are not one of the lucky ones who can fix the BSOD with above ways, then you will need to check whether the Windows kernel is confused to resolve the problem. Try toggling the SATA controller mode in the BIOS. Meanwhile, change the RAID settings back to Autodetect (usually accurate). If you have inadvertently erased or tinkered with the boot.ini file, you may receive stop code 0x7B during the startup process. Then launch the recovery console from the Windows installation disc and runBOOTCFG /REBUILD.

If these suggestions mentioned haven't fixed your problem, then you will need to delve even further into troubleshooting this error, such as searching online or laptop support. Anyways, what a bugger is, the blue screen of death is not something one would regard as a happy experience! Please be more patient before the trial and test.
